If only that we were able to claim that we, the people of milkadamia always move with steely resolve, fueled by hope and elevated thoughts. Of course, our lives are as gloriously, messily, humanly uncertain, and contradictory as they are hopeful and exuberant. But in the balance, we aspire to create milkadamia as not just another plant-based darling, but as an advocate for a better way of life for our earth, our health, and our future.
Faced with an unraveling climate-scape impacting our amazing world, where chaos and beauty, so achingly, co-exist, our hope resides in the common-sense of common folk. We don’t believe much is achieved by simply directing blame-thirsty fingers outward, toward others and away from ourselves – we got into this together, we will experience it, or we will mitigate it, together.
Why we are non-dairy? Why promote Regenerative farming? Why never use palm oil when 50% of products do? Because, even in an increasingly fraught era for our hand-me-down, but amazing planet, we believe steadfastly in our collective ability to increase the beauty.
Consumers can speak to the food industry in the language they listen most attentively to – their sales and market share. What we purchase to nourish and support our families – also nourishes and supports the companies that produced it. We, the consumers, have a powerful and effective voice.
